Univision Sneers at Trump for Getting Booed Over Booster Shot

Univision proved once again that former President Donald Trump lives rent-free in their heads. This time, the network gleefully reported that Trump was booed by “his own followers” for saying that he got the COVID-19 booster shot during a live Dallas interview with former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.

Univision anchor Eliangélica González followed the lead in a sneering take of the moment where she focused, not on the Trump administration´s role in developing three COVID-19 vaccines in record time- but on misrepresenting what Trump actually told the Wall Street Journal in September regarding a future booster, and implying that he is vaccine hesitant. Watch:

ELIANGELICA GONZALEZ: Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump was booed in Dallas when he said he had received the COVID 19 booster vaccine. In September, Trump told the Wall Street Journal that it was unlikely that he’d get the booster shot and that he was in good shape.

Evidently, a press corps that serves Joe Biden more like a Leni Riefenstahl propaganda film unit, demonizing those who oppose vaccine and masks mandates, or dare question the efficacy of the jabs, seemed bothered by Trump admitting that he is fully vaccinated. Furthermore, what Trump did tell The Wall Street Journal back in September, was that he “probably” would not get a booster shot but that he was not set against it. As far as Univision´s audience goes, they will never know since Gonzalez left that part out of her quick report.

For the record, this is part of what Trump told the audience during Sunday´s final leg of his “History Tour” in Dallas, and that would’ve provided critical context to Univision’s report:

“Look, we did something that was historic. We saved tens of millions of lives worldwide. We together, all of us — not me, we — we got a vaccine done, three vaccines done, and tremendous therapeutics. This was going to ravage the country far beyond what it is right now. Take credit for it. Take credit for it … Don’t let them take it away. Don’t take it away from ourselves.”

About the vaccines, the former President expressed that, “If you don’t want to take it, you shouldn’t be forced to take it. No mandates. But take credit because we saved tens of millions of lives. Take credit. Don’t let them take that away from you.”
